The Simpsons Game
Hot on the heels of the hype from the summer smash that was The Simpons Movie comes the very funny The Simpsons Game.
But if you like neither The Simpsons, nor video games, then this game is definitely not for you.
For the fans there's a bit of everything with clever nods to computer gaming genres and comical references to long forgotten episodes.
But console games, especially next-gen console games, need much more than some smart puns and missions modelled on other gaming genres to make them playable for the months to come.
The Simpsons Game features a sprawling and mind-busting storyline crafted by the TV show's Emmy Award-winning writers. The full cast of voice actors from the TV show and movie reprise their roles to lend the ultimate in authenticity and realism to the game.
In the game Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos. To help the Simpsons, gamers must journey through all of Springfield (as well as vast worlds beyond!), vanquish an amazing array of villains, and fight their way through parodies of multiple popular games.
You get to play as all members of your favorite dysfunctional TV family as you battle to save them from video game purgatory and, just like you want the game to sound like the show, you also want it to look like the show. And thanks to some really smart guys using innovative 3D into 2D technology, it does!
Add in a huge cast of Simpsons folks and an amazing level of interactivity and you've got a Simpsons experience like no other.
